Alan Smith believes that Arsenal now has a player who could be even more talented than Granit Xhaka.
Alan Smith has confessed that he believes Arsenal star Kai Havertz has the potential to surpass Granit Xhaka.
During a tranquil international break at the Emirates, Smith spoke on The Gooners Podcast.
Arsenal supporters are generally satisfied with the season’s start, despite the fact that they are already playing catch-up to Manchester City.
A late draw with Fulham is the only blemish on their record, and following their victory over Manchester United, the atmosphere will be very upbeat.
With the exception of David Raya, Mikel Arteta has been eager to employ his new acquisitions.
However, there are already rumors that the Spanish goalkeeper will play against Everton this weekend.
Kai Havertz’s consistent participation this season has been questioned.
The German international’s debut at the Emirates has not been ideal.

However, Alan Smith believes that Havertz has the potential to surpass Granit Xhaka.
This season, the 24-year-old has already adapted to his position in the team, but it does not appear that he will match his 14 goals scored in the league so far.
Smith believes Havertz can be superior to Xhaka.
Regarding the German international, Smith stated, “I find it somewhat irritating that people are so eager to criticize him.
“These are Arsenal fans, and you’d expect they’d support a new player in his early days when he’s trying to find his footing.
“He is attempting to comprehend what the manager desires, which I believe takes time.
Jack Grealish required an entire season to comprehend what Pep Guardiola desires and needs at Manchester City.
“I’m not saying it will take [Kai] Havertz an entire season, but he’s still adjusting to the squad, dressing room, and starting lineup.
“I believe he’s technically a very good player, I think he can be a good player for us, and I heard [Mikel] Arteta say he wants to be getting into the box on the end of things, similar to what [Granit] Xhaka did last season.
I believe Havertz is capable of doing better, as he has a stronger attacking instinct and is an excellent finisher when in those positions.
According to Smith, Havertz must utilize his offensive skills to improve upon what Xhaka accomplished in the same position.
His current problem is a severe lack of confidence, particularly in front of the net.
He must swiftly find the back of the net, especially with Fabio Vieira breathing down his neck in an attempt to make the team.
Time will tell if he can completely adapt to Mikel Arteta’s playing style.
