‘Amazing’: Arsenal star says he’s been stunned by how hard the ‘Man’ works to be excellent
Leandro Trossard remarked that it is sometimes mind-boggling to observe the extent Mikel Arteta goes to in his role as Arsenal manager.
The Belgian spoke to Sky Sports News ahead of the Gunners’ journey to Newcastle United on Sunday, with Arsenal hoping to close the gap by one point.
Regardless of what occurs this season, Arsenal has undoubtedly had a remarkable campaign, despite what some pundits claim. Few would have predicted that Mikel Arteta would lead his team to the championship hunt.
Trossard praises Mikel Arteta
Arteta has established himself as a superintendent of the highest caliber. And it appears that some of his own athletes are almost surprised by the standards he sets.
Leandro Trossard was queried about his experience playing under the Spanish coach. Moreover, he suggested that he has been surprised by the Arsenal manager’s demands since his arrival in January.
I would say he is very specific. Because he dislikes surprises, I believe he puts so much effort into everything. If you have a question, he always has an answer available,” he told Sky Sports News.
“Therefore, he strives for perfection in his work, and it sometimes baffles you that he is this way. I believe it provides the athletes with the motivation to achieve perfection. I believe he is an excellent superintendent.”
Trossard’s comments do not come as a complete surprise. During Arteta’s tenure, there have been numerous instances where other managers would have second-guessed their decisions.
From the outside, Arteta has appeared to be on the verge of losing his position on numerous occasions. However, he never deviated from his principles or his goals in the Emirates.
