Anthony Martial will meet with Manchester United to discuss his future, as three clubs are interested in acquiring him this month.

The manager of the Red Devils, Erik ten Hag, is willing to let striker Anthony Martial leave in the summer, as the Frenchman endured another season without sustained form or fitness. United has recruited Rasmus Hojlund from Atalanta, relegating Anthony Martial to the bench.

The former Monaco forward could be part of Ten Hag’s merciless squad purge. David de Gea, Alex Telles, Fred, Phil Jones, Axel Tuanzebe, and Anthony Elanga have already departed, while West Ham have agreed to pay £30 million for Harry Maguire and had a similar offer for Scott McTominay rejected.

Following the sale of Gianluca Scamacca to Atalanta, the Hammers have also expressed interest in signing Martial. They have not yet held formal transfer negotiations for the forward, but have expressed interest in completing a deal this month.

West Ham’s interest in Martial is shared by Champions League finalists Inter, who have lost loan signings Romelu Lukaku and Edin Dzeko to Fenerbahce this summer. The Turkish heavyweights, who signed Fred from Manchester United this week, are also interested in the striker, according to the Sun.

Martial’s lack of dependability in terms of availability is exemplified by the fact that he only started 11 Premier League games out of 38 last season due to ongoing fitness concerns. While the Frenchman has no control over his fitness concerns, Ten Hag is believed to have lost tolerance with him.

United did not replace Edinson Cavani last summer, while Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure in November led to the loan signing of Wout Weghorst. Hojlund and Martial are currently United’s only central striking alternatives, although Marcus Rashford, who prefers cutting in from the left flank, is another option for Ten Hag.

Eric Bailly, Dean Henderson, Donny van de Beek, and Brandon Williams could all leave Old Trafford as Ten Hag looks to trim his squad and secure deals for a new backup goalkeeper, defender, and midfielder – with Sofyan Fiorentina of Fiorentina and Benjamin Pavard of Bayern Munich among those of interest to United.
