The manager of Argentina’s U-20 national team, Javier Mascherano, has thanked both Manchester United and Alejandro Garnacho for the player’s decision to play for Argentina rather than Spain.

During the international break, The People’s Person reported that Garnacho’s national allegiance was still undecided and that he needed to play for Argentina against Bolivia to officially commit to the World Cup champions.

Garnacho had the option to play for Spain owing to his parents’ dual nationality.

Spain attempted to recruit the United youth player, but he made it plain that he was only interested in joining the Albiceleste.
As a consequence of Argentina manager Lionel Scaloni playing the 19-year-old against Bolivia, he is no longer eligible to play for La Roja.

Mascherano gave Garnacho his first experience of the Argentine national team when he gave the winger his U20s debut.

Before being promoted to the first team to play alongside superstars such as Lionel Messi, Angel Di Maria, and others, the athlete made four appearances.

Mascherano told TyC Sports via SportWitness, “Garnacho’s discovery and desire to play for Argentina are his own.”

The reality is that none of this would have occurred if he hadn’t wanted to participate, and he is aware of this.

Mascherano continued, “We are appreciative. We are pleased that the projected players can compete in the major league.”

“One is responsible for monitoring a large number of Argentine-born and non-Argentine-born males. The world has transformed, giving us the opportunity to observe other players.”

Garnacho entered the game as a substitute during United’s 3-1 loss to Brighton on Saturday.

Due to the absence of multiple key attacking players, he hopes to start against Bayern Munich on Wednesday when the Red Devils face the Bundesliga titans in the Champions League.
