Arsenal face difficulty for ex-Man City star as pep plans to block the swap
Cancelo joined Bayern Munich on loan during the January transfer window and is expected to depart City for good in the summer.

However, Bayern are unwilling to meet City’s asking price of £60 million for the Portugal international, which could allow Arsenal to make a move.
The Gunners, who conceded the Premier League title race to City on Saturday with a 1-0 loss to Nottingham Forest, are reportedly investigating the possibility of signing Cancelo to strengthen Mikel Arteta’s right side of the defense.
However, according to the Sunday Mirror, City will propose a swap deal to Bayern that would enable them to retain Cancelo in exchange for Joshua Kimmich.
According to the report, Pep Guardiola is adamant that Cancelo will no longer be a member of his squad after causing unrest in the locker room upon his December return from the World Cup.
Thomas Tuchel stated this week regarding Cancelo’s future at Bayern: ‘I have the impression that he is very content here.
But ultimately, all parties are involved in the decision.
‘His desire in training is distinct. I have the impression that he is extremely content here. Everything else will be discussed following the conclusion of the season.
Kimmich has also been linked with a transfer away from Bayern Munich this summer, with Barcelona, Liverpool, and Arsenal reportedly all interested in the versatile Germany international.
