On Saturday, Arsenal paid West Ham United 105 million pounds, which is equivalent to 137.27 million dollars, to acquire Declan Rice. After acquiring Kai Havertz and Jurrien Timber earlier in the summer, they went on to make the England midfielder their third new player.
“Every signing that we have made brings special things to the team,” Arteta said to reporters before Arsenal’s pre-season friendly match against a Major League Soccer (MLS) All-Stars side on Wednesday in Washington. The match was scheduled to take place at RFK Stadium.
“As you could imagine, we are overjoyed to have been successful in signing the players that we desired. We were able to sign them in advance, and they have made a rapid adjustment to the team dynamic since joining. Now that we have some time, we can prepare, and they will have the opportunity to express themselves in the most effective manner possible.
When asked if there could be any additional signings before the transfer window ends on September 1, Arteta responded, “Let’s see, there is a lot of time still in the market and there is a lot of expectation in some of our players.”
On August 12, Arsenal will kick off their new campaign at home against Nottingham Forest.
