Arsenal ready to market four stars including €72m man to finance further transfers.

It has been reported that Arsenal intends to sell four players in order to finance additional summer transfers.

The Gunners have already acquired Kai Havertz, Jurrien Timber, Declan Rice, and David Raya during the transfer window.

However, Mikel Arteta is preparing for some players to depart in the opposite direction, as he seeks to raise funds for future movements.

According to Football Insider, left-back Kieran Tierney will be permitted to depart Celtic this summer after being left out of the squad to face Nottingham Forest.

According to the report, Rob Holding, Nicolas Pepe, and Nuno Tavares are also likely to leave the Emirates after being omitted from Saturday’s 23-man squad that defeated Forest 2-1.

Arteta is reportedly seeking another attacking player before the transfer window closes in just two weeks.

To finance a move, however, the north Londoners will need to sell some players in order to balance their books and comply with Financial Fair Play regulations.

Newcastle reportedly expressed interest in Tierney, while Arsenal reportedly turned down a bid from Turkish giants Besiktas for Holding previously in the summer.

Following reports that left-sided central defender Gabriel Magalhaes could transfer to Saudi Arabia, Arsenal has been linked to Manchester City defender Aymeric Laporte.
Since then, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has provided an update, asserting that City would be reluctant to sell to their direct rivals.

“Earlier in the summer, Arsenal considered acquiring a ‘traditional’ centre-back rather than a versatile defender like Timber,” Romano told CaughtOffside.

“One player Arsenal likes is Aymeric Laporte – the rumors are true in the sense that Arsenal likes him. Manchester City prefers another destination for him, so let’s see if Arsenal returns for Laporte or if they attempt to replace Timber with a fullback instead.

This matter will be discussed internally, with Mikel Arteta present.
