Arsenal superstar provides stat to discomfit Chelsea fans
Declan Rice made his fifth Premier League start for Arsenal over the weekend, and the Gunners came out on top with a victory at Goodison Park to earn three points for their efforts. Rice was a member of the winning team.
Rice’s four league triumphs under Mikel Arteta means that he has now matched Enzo Fernandez’s tally for Premier League victories at Chelsea, as noted out by Arsenal fans on Twitter.

The win versus Everton was Rice’s fourth league victory overall under Arteta.
Since signing with Chelsea in January, Fernandez has seen significant playing time despite the team’s difficult schedule.
After defeating AFC Bournemouth in May and Leeds United and Leicester City in early March (both of which were subsequently relegated), the Blues defeated Luton Town for their fourth league win since their £107 million signing’s arrival. This victory was their first over Luton Town since the signing.
The remaining 19 matches have all ended in losses or draws, and Chelsea has not scored a single goal so far in the month of September.
Regarding Arsenal and Rice, the Gunners have been victorious this season against Nottingham Forest, Crystal Palace, Manchester United, and Everton, with their only loss coming in a tie against Fulham. Rice has scored one goal in those victories.
Rice beat Fernandez to become the first player to score a goal in the Premier League for their new club. The two players signed for more than £100 million each, but their careers have taken very different paths since then.
In the end, no single player have the power to win matches by themselves by themselves. The fact that Fernandez is currently playing for a mediocre Chelsea squad rather than the somewhat better Arsenal team is very bad for him.
However, this serves as a good reminder of the large gap that exists between the two London teams, as if the fact that they are separated by ten places in the league table weren’t enough.
