Arsenal to sell some midfielders to create room for new arrivals

All Arsenal supporters will remember this season as the season in which their team came close to defeating Manchester City for the league title on their first attempt. Next season, I would like to discuss what to expect from Arsenal.

Next season, Arteta intends to field a world-class team. His reported six-player transfer desire list suggests as much.

After being “exposed”, Arteta is keen to add quality players to his team. Comparing his reserve to Guardiola’s, he has no justification for not strengthening his team.

If all proceeds according to plan, the midfield is the position that will ultimately be transformed. Declan Rice, Moises Caicedo, and Romeo Lavia are the most frequently rumored targets.

I see two of these three documents signed: Arsenal’s decision-makers may be willing to invest heavily due to their wish to improve and return to the Champions League. If two of these three players are acquired, Arsenal’s midfield would be crowded. I doubt Arteta would desire that; consequently, other participants could make room.

As Arteta stated on SPORTSDIAS regarding the transfer window, “they are always difficult decisions”

“Whether due to recruiting or other decisions, some players and staff members do not always wish to remain with us.

“It’s always difficult, particularly when you have good relationships with those people, but we’re here to win.”

“This is the goal of everyone in the club. We must triumph, and to win, we must do it our way, which requires us to make decisions.

With Xhaka expected to remain and Odegaard and Partey untouchable, Emile Smith-Rowe, Albert Sambi Lokonga, and Fabio Vieira are candidates to be released.

This season’s injury to Emile Smith-Rowe could prove costly, while Lokonga and Vieira’s inability to capitalize on their opportunities could result in their departure in the summer (presumably on loan, but who knows). Some must be sacrificed for the project’s greater benefit.

Regardless, the caliber of Arteta’s midfield, which includes Rice, Partey, Caicedo, Lavia, Odegaard, and Xhaka, will make these departures justifiable, even if many of the trio’s supporters are disappointed.

Next season, Arteta and his squad will dethrone the Citizens, but in order to do so, cruel transfer decisions will be made, with some players entering and others leaving the club.

Who do you believe will depart?
