Bayern directors to meet with Tottenham’s officials today over Kane deal
Since Spurs have returned from their preseason tour of Asia and Australia, the rumors associating Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane with a transfer to Bayern Munich have intensified significantly.
There has never been a lack of speculation regarding Harry Kane’s future, but there is now a palpable sense of inevitability surrounding his impending departure from Tottenham Hotspur. It appears increasingly probable that Kane will be playing for a new club in the fall.
Take this from Fabrizio Romano, who is essentially compiling a variety of earlier sources. According to Fab, Bayern executives, including Jan-Christian Dreesen, will depart for London today to initiate direct negotiations with Daniel Levy, and they intend to increase their previous offer.

The Times of London goes a bit further, stating that Bayern are prepared to offer €100m (£85m) as a BASE, implying that it could increase with performance-based escalation.
Here is my opinion. If Bayern Munich is offering €85 million as a starting proposal, I believe they are willing to go higher. How much higher remains to be seen, and I have no reason to believe that Levy will make it simple, but I believe that this type of bid is a Rubicon. If Bayern are (finally) willing to go this high, the ultimate number is simply a matter of horse trading. Levy’s valuation will likely end up decreasing marginally, while Bayern’s will likely continue to rise.
But I believe this is the beginning of the end for Harry Kane’s time with Tottenham Hotspur.
