Oliver Kahn, CEO of Bayern Munich, has seemingly downplayed the possibility that the German heavyweights could sign Manchester United transfer target Victor Osimhen this summer. Osimhen is interested in playing for Bayern Munich.

After putting together an outstanding season for the newly crowned Serie A champions, the Napoli striker, who is 24 years old, is garnering significant interest from a wide variety of high-profile European teams in advance of the transfer window that will open this summer.

As a result of the 28 goals he has scored for Gli Azzurri this season, he has established himself as one of the attackers in Europe who is in the highest demand.

Osimhen was mentioned as a target for United as early as November, and he continues to be on their radar, despite the fact that United manager Erik ten Hag has identified Tottenham Hotspur and England star Harry Kane as his top priority.

United are planning to prioritize the recruitment of an elite-level striker this coming summer. Osimhen was identified as a target for United as early as November. Kane, much like Osimhen, has scored a total of 28 goals so far this season.

As was to be expected, United is up against significant opposition from other clubs, both in the United States and abroad, in their pursuit of the Nigerian player’s signature. In recent weeks, rumors have circulated that several clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich, are interested in signing the striker.

However, the head coach of Bayern Munich, Kahn, has called attention to the ‘risk’ that the Bundesliga club could be taking if it pursues the possibility of signing Osimhen for such a staggering transfer cost. Recent reports have suggested that Napoli will ask for a transfer fee that is greater than £120 million.

In an interview with SportBILD, Kahn made the following statement: “When it’s about such a fee, we have to pose the question: does the player provide you a guarantee for this money? That is without a doubt taking a significant risk.

In a statement made over the weekend, Napoli club president Aurelio De Laurentiis reiterated that the club would not consider any offers for the striker, despite the fact that Napoli has not provided a specific price for what they would consider to be an acceptable amount to allow the striker go this summer.

De Laurentiis stated the following when he was interviewed by the Italian television channel Rai Sport: “I will not sell Victor Osimhen this summer – no way.”
