Chelsea have £52m transfer benefit over Liverpool as agent discloses ‘serious’ proposal
Chelsea has a significant advantage over Liverpool in their pursuit of Sporting CP midfielder Manuel Ugarte. The 22-year-old is a new addition to Mauricio Pochettino’s list of prospective defensive options this summer.
Ugarte, who excelled for Ruben Amorim and has a £52m (£60m) release clause in his contract, is regarded as one of the finest young options on the market at his position. Liverpool and Aston Villa are interested in signing him.
Todd Boehly will attempt to utilize his contacts once more in Portugal, where he has already made a significant acquisition this season (Enzo Fernandez, in January).
The transaction will reportedly be brokered by Jorge Mendes, the same super agent who assisted Chelsea and Boehly in the winter.
The agent discloses’serious’ offers.
Chelsea’s desire to acquire a new striker this summer has been well-documented, and a multitude of early candidates, including Harry Kane, Ivan Toney, Lautaro Martinez, and Victor Osimhen, have emerged.
Dusan Vlahovic of Juventus is also rumored to be in the running. The 23-year-old Serbian has struggled to replicate his red-hot form from the previous 18 months in Turin.

Three teams, according to agent Massimo Brambati, observed the striker during Juventus’ Europa League semifinal defeat to Sevilla.
“In my opinion, Juventus will take these offers seriously,” he stated. Because they are Chelsea, Bayern Munich, and Atletico Madrid, all of them have a prominent reputation.
Sterling is included in Pochettino’s plans.
Despite struggling to reach peak form since his summer transfer, Raheem Sterling remains committed to Chelsea and will remain with the club beyond this season.
The 28-year-old is preparing to play for his third permanent head coach since he joined the team less than a year ago. At times, he has appeared frustrated.
