Declan Rice, a midfielder for Arsenal, has acknowledged that he aspires to play at the same level as Patrick Vieira in the years to come. Rice was a target for a number of top clubs in Europe during the summer transfer window, including Bayern Munich, Manchester City, and Manchester United, in addition to the Gunners, who were among the clubs competing for his signature. Rice is currently 24 years old.

But the England international opted to transfer to the Emirates Stadium rather than any of the other teams that often compete in the UEFA Champions League.

This was a significant win for Arsenal sporting director Edu and manager Mikel Arteta. Since then, Rice has had a fantastic beginning to his time in north London. He has turned in some outstanding performances in the middle of the field, and as a result, he was awarded the club’s Player of the Month Award for the month of August.

Now, the 24-year-old player has stated that he would love to continue refining his skills and has stated that he hopes to one day achieve the same level of success as the Gunners legend Vieira.

It’s going to take a lot of work, but I really want to get to that level.

Rice, when asked about his targets, stated in an interview with thesoccerstand, “Vieira. It’s going to take a lot of work, but I really want to get to that level.

Gary Neville, a legendary player for Manchester United, recently stated that the former West Ham United captain’s price tag of £105 million was exorbitant. The words made by the former West Ham United captain may very well be a response to this recent criticism.

Last month, Neville gave an interview to Sky Sports in which he discussed Rice. In the interview, Neville said the following about Rice: “For £100million I think you want goals and assists at the top end of the pitch sorting out, but the last six months has completely changed the perception of the value of midfielder players.”

You mention Roy Keane and Patrick Vieira, and in my opinion, they are the two best midfield players that we have seen in British football. I don’t think Declan Rice is in the same category as those two guys.
