Fans are extremely enthusiastic about Liverpool’s interest in OGC Nice midfielder Khephren Thuram, according to transfer expert Dean Jones of GIVEMESPORT.
Jurgen Klopp has his sights on the young Frenchman as he prepares for the Reds’ first season without Champions League football since 2016/17.

Alexis Mac Allister, formerly of Brighton, became Jurgen Klopp’s first acquisition to enter the fray at Anfield as part of a much-needed midfield reshuffle. Klopp’s side acquired him for a steal of £35 million.
Meanwhile, at the end of May, L’Equipe reported that formal discussions were underway with Nice regarding a deal for Thuram, despite the fact that he could cost upwards of £52 million.
Earlier this month, Ryan Taylor of the Daily Express told GIVEMESPORT that Thuram could be of ‘concrete interest’ to Liverpool as they seek to replace their numerous departing midfielders.
According to The Daily Express, Klopp has identified the promising youngster as a suitable replacement for those departing this summer. Now, Jones has suggested that those inside Anfield would be ecstatic if the transaction could be finalized.
When questioned about his future, Thuram did not appear eager to sever ties with his current employers.
“I want to advance, play on the field, and have joy. “For the time being, I’m at Nice, and that’s going very well; I like the club a lot, so I still envision myself there,” he said.
“I am content in Nice. There are rumors, I’m aware of them, but I’m content at Nice and expect to continue to develop with this club.”

Jones asserted that Thuram is the most frequently mentioned candidate and that Anfield fans will be ecstatic about his prospective arrival.
Speaking exclusively with thesoccerstand he stated, “I believe Thuram is the athlete who is being praised the most. I believe that people will be ecstatic about his presence there. I’m curious to see if they can actually close the transaction.”

Despite being only 22 years old, Thuram was a prominent member of the Nice team last season. He was involved in ten goals, scoring twice and providing eight assists.
The imposing midfielder has been awarded with 14 caps for France’s U21 squad for his season-long positive performances, but will soon be in contention for a call-up to the senior squad.
According to FBref, Thuram blocked 0.46 shots per 90 minutes last season, but he was equally crucial on the offensive end, taking 1.34 shots and registering 0.14 assists from central midfield.
His aptitude as a primary ball carrier cannot be overlooked, as he completed 1.63 of 1.63 take-ons per 90 minutes and ranked in the top 6% of midfielders across Europe’s top five leagues for progressive carries with 3.25.
At such a youthful age, the 6’4″ midfielder provides not only a diverse skill set to light up the Premier League, but also the longevity that Liverpool’s midfield lacks. If Klopp and his team are able to complete this transaction, it would be advantageous for all parties involved.
