Aaron Ramsdale of Arsenal started in goal for England last night against Scotland, and his performance appears to have impressed both Jude Bellingham and Bukayo Saka.

Gareth Southgate seldom desires to spare Jordan Pickford. The Everton player has nearly always excelled for England, and he is the undisputed number one. Ramsdale received the call last night, and the Arsenal number one performed admirably.

Last night, England defeated Scotland by a score of 3-1 in a contest in which Aaron Ramsdale had little to do in terms of saves.

Last night, the hosts had no shots on aim. Harry Maguire’s unfortunate own-goal is the only reason the score line appears respectable, but the game was entirely one-sided.

Ramsdale did not have to make a save during the entire game, but he was called upon numerous times to play out from the back, where he excelled.

The 25-year-old Arsenal player had 48 touches of the ball and all of his ground passes were completed. He also found a teammate with 11 of his long passes, one of which was an immaculate masterpiece.

Last night, Ramsdale thoroughly relished the game, and it appears that Jude Bellingham, Bukayo Saka, and a few others were also impressed with his performance.
Under Ramsdale’s Instagram post, the Real Madrid star commented “him”, while Saka penned “My boyyyy!”

There has been much speculation that David Raya will replace Aaron Ramsdale as Arsenal’s goalkeeper after this international break.

The Gunners signed the Spanish goalkeeper from Brentford on a season-long loan this summer, and everyone agrees that he is a superb keeper.

Nevertheless, despite a few setbacks over the last few months, we believe Ramsdale has done enough to retain his starting position, and it would be foolish for Mikel Arteta to make a change this weekend.
