Latest: Arsenal new signing already in Emirates training

As David Raya continues to train with his new teammates at Arsenal, it appears that the goalkeeper’s move there has been finalized.

It was claimed earlier today by Charles Watts that the transfer of David Raya from Brentford to Arsenal was complete on the player’s end, and that the only thing left to do was for the two clubs to iron out the last few kinks in the structure of the transaction. The deal will see Raya go from Brentford to Arsenal.

The relocation has been officially authorized at this point.

The fact that the goalie is going to wear the number 22 was established when the goalkeeper’s agent released a photo of the goalkeeper training with Arsenal before the formal announcement was made.

Raya hasn’t used any other number than 1 for quite some time, however during his time at Southport FC and Blackburn Rovers in the early stages of his career, he wore the number 19 and the number 33, respectively.

Rnar Alex Rnarsson has worn the number 13 for the entirety of his career at Arsenal, despite the fact that goalkeepers typically opt for the number 13 in situations where the number 1 is unavailable.

Even though Rnarsson was playing elsewhere on loan during the previous season, Matt Turner wore the number 30 jersey anyway.

On Saturday, Raya and his family watched the game at the Emirates Stadium versus Nottingham Forest. His family posted photographs and videos of the event on various social media platforms, including Facebook and Instagram.

David Raya has been brought in by Arsenal from Brentford on a transaction that will initially be for a loan with the option to buy at a price of £27 million.

Additionally, he has renewed his contract with Brentford for another two years, with the option for a third year.
