La Liga president Javier Tebas cautioned RMC Sport that Lionel Messi’s return to FC Barcelona is not as straightforward as it has been reported, stating that the operation is still convoluted.
Tebas has been at Barcelona’s throat regarding Financial Fair Play, continually reminding the club that in order to sign and register new players, they must reduce their salary mass by at least €200 million in the summer.

La Liga’s leaders have already submitted their economic viability plan to the league, and board members are optimistic that it will be approved.
However, Tebas, who will have the final say, has warned Barcelona once more that they must exert a great deal of effort to balance their books and make Messi’s return feasible.
