Today, Liverpool posted a photo of Mohamed Salah in training amid rumors of his imminent departure.

According to recent reports, Salah is ‘likely’ to depart Anfield for Al Ittihad within the next week or so.

Liverpool has always maintained publicly that the 31-year-old will not be leaving the club. Consequently, the club’s official Twitter page has posted a timely photo update this afternoon.

Concerned fans flooded the account with requests for Salah updates after a number of images and videos of the team’s training were published this afternoon.

And the club administrator did not disappoint, publishing a photo of Mo looking intent during a gym session. It does not inherently mean he will remain, but it is encouraging nonetheless.
Salah was photographed at Liverpool training.

At this juncture, it almost feels as if Salah and Liverpool are being set up in an attempt to unsettle them.

Because, despite all the allegations of enormous bids arriving and medicals taking place, it is evidently business as usual for Mo.

Would he still be training with the club if he were truly agitating for a transfer, or if it was as close as has been reported?
Obviously, that’s not impossible, but with a game coming up, it seems unlikely.

Last weekend, there were rumors circulating in Saudi Arabia that Salah’s last game for Liverpool would be against Newcastle.

This is still possible, so we will not speak too soon. But if the Egyptian plays against Aston Villa on Sunday at Anfield, we will begin to feel more confident.

However, until the window closes, we cannot say with certainty that he will remain. In the interim, therefore, these hints are appreciated.
