After yesterday’s loss to Brighton by a score of 3-0, Gary Neville is of the opinion that Arsenal’s draws against Southampton and West Ham were the outcomes that doomed their chances of winning the title.

Fans of the Gunners are hopeful that their team will get another hard-fought victory against the Seagulls because they have recently rebounded from a bad run to win against Chelsea and Newcastle.

However, a resolute team led by Roberto de Zerbi humiliated the Gunners with one of the most surprising results of the weekend. This loss has more or less ended Arsenal’s chances of winning the Premier League.

Neville maintains that they have had a successful season, but he identifies those two games as the ones that caused their prospects of winning the title to be significantly diminished.

According to The sportsdias he stated:

Manchester City have been on an incredible run, winning 11 straight games, while Arsenal have dropped 12 points over the course of their last seven games against teams that they really shouldn’t have.”

They just couldn’t recover from the blows they took against Southampton and West Ham, and tonight they were completely outplayed.

“That wraps it up. The title has been awarded. The Arsenal football team has had a very successful season. An terrific season. They have simply reached their limit because of it.’

Simply Arsenal’s Point of View

During that stretch, when we dropped points in four consecutive games, we realized that it would take a miracle for us to get back into contention for the championship.

On the other hand, we were not anticipating Brighton dealing us such a significant blow, and the boys have only themselves to blame for allowing this to occur to them.
