Sancho and Erik ten Hag have had a major falling out, with Sancho saying that the United boss has made him a “scapegoat” after being cut from the group that competed against Arsenal the previous week and suffering a loss.

His remarks followed Ten Hag’s announcement to the general public that Sancho had been excluded from the competition due to his inadequate effort during training.

The future of Sancho appears to be uncertain, and this week, Manchester United held discussions with Al-Ettifaq on the possibility of a loan for the player. However, the Saudi Pro League club was unable to reach an agreement with United regarding the loan.

If the 23-year-old’s relationship with Ten Hag is unable to be restored, Sancho has a new option available to him when the January transfer market opens. According to The Sun, Sancho’s former club Dortmund would be interested in a loan if the situation cannot be resolved.

The Englishman made a huge impression during his time at Dortmund, when he racked up 50 goals and 64 assists across 137 matches before moving to United for a fee of £73 million in 2021.

Sancho has played 82 matches throughout his stay at Old Trafford and has scored 12 goals while also dishing out six assists. This indicates that things have not gone as smoothly for him at United as they could have.

Stan Collymore, on the other hand, believes that following his altercation with Ten Hag, Sancho will never play for United again.

Amidst the playmaker’s dispute with the Dutch manager, it has been said that Sancho is not a well-liked figure among his United teammates. This comes as a result of the conflict between Sancho and the Dutch manager.

It is speculated that some United employees found Sancho to be ‘rude’ and ‘withdrawn,’ as well.
