Man Utd takeover: Sheikh Jassim sweetener bleaches in comparison with Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s intelligence

All indications currently point to Sir Jim Ratcliffe becoming the next proprietor of Manchester United.

The leader of INEOS is reportedly willing to allow all six Glazer siblings to remain at Old Trafford as he attempts to acquire the club. Sheikh Jassim’s offer to host NFL games in Qatar pales in comparison to the current situation.

Ratcliffe is a shrewd businessman who, after failing to acquire Chelsea last year, is determined to succeed on his second try.

According to the Financial Times on Friday, the 70-year-old is now contemplating allowing all six Glazer siblings to remain at the club as part of any potential takeover.

It is common knowledge that brothers Joel and Avram Glazer have been the most inclined to remain in place.

Nevertheless, it appears that their four other siblings will continue to benefit from the club, as the family has done since 2005.

As far as the Glazers are concerned, this is an attractive offer.
And it’s surely much more appealing than the idea of hosting NFL games in Qatar.

In March, it became known that Sheikh Jassim was willing to allow this to occur; this strategy was viewed as an enticement.

Despite the fact that the Glazers own the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the most lucrative sport is English football.

Even if NFL games were played in the Middle East, there is no assurance that they would sell out and pave the way for future opportunities.

A Google search reveals very little information about the sport performed in Qatar.
The first game was played in 2018, but since then, the NFL has not expanded as rapidly as it has in Europe and other parts of the world.

Certainly, it could pave the way for the Glazers to attract new audiences to their franchise.

However, given that it would necessitate giving up ownership of United, it does not seem as appealing as staying at Old Trafford.

When the Glazers first purchased United, they inherited one of the greatest teams in the world.

Prior to his emotional retirement a decade ago, Sir Alex Ferguson ensured that the trophies continued coming.

Since then, United have floundered under managers such as David Moyes, Louis van Gaal, Jose Mourinho, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

However, under Erik ten Hag, the club appears to be heading in the correct direction once more.

With United gaining trophies this season and qualifying for the Champions League next year, they have a solid foundation upon which to build.

Success would result in wealth, which the Glazers could continue to stuff into their wallets as they have for the past eighteen years.

In order for Sheikh Jassim to realize his goal of owning the club, he may be required to alter his strategy.

One method for achieving this objective would be to pay the Glazers’ long-held demand of £6 billion.

Obviously, that’s a high price. Even for someone with the affluence and extensive financial resources possessed by the Qatari official.
