Man Utd takeover: Sheikh Jassim tilted to defeat Sir Jim Ratcliffe – ‘driving to accept’
It has been suggested that Sheikh Jassim could defeat Sir Jim Ratcliffe to purchase Manchester United. The Qatari magnate remains confident in his ability to acquire the Red Devils.
Nonetheless, Sir Jim Ratcliffe appears to be in the lead as the conclusion of the saga approaches.

On Sunday, it was reported that Ratcliffe was ‘close’ to reaching an agreement with the Glazers to purchase the Red Devils.
As part of the agreement, the Glazers will presumably continue to play a diminished role.
According to Football Finance expert Kieran Maguire, despite these allegations, Sheikh Jassim cannot be ruled out.
And he believes the Qatari magnate would be able to defeat Ratcliffe if he offered more money, stating that this would likely prompt Joel and Avram Glazer to persuade the rest of the family to sell.
“Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s alleged proposal to the Glazers that they retain 20% of the shares appears to be an attempt to appease Joel and Avram Glazer,” he told Football Insider.
In order to persuade them to accept his offer, he wishes to offer them the benefits of any medium-term appreciation in the club’s value. While this has prompted criticism from Manchester United supporters on social media, it has already been established that the Glazers have complete contempt for supporters.
“They have not cared about them for nearly 18 years, so it is unlikely that it will influence their decision now.
“I don’t think it necessarily means that Ratcliffe’s bid will be accepted; the Glazers are seeking a higher price, and if Sheikh Jassim’s bid is worth more per share, I can see the other Glazer siblings pushing to accept that offer instead.”
Sheikh Jassim has pledged, if successful, to restore United to its former grandeur.
And it was revealed on Wednesday that the Qatari billionaire was interested in three high-profile players as he designs his Old Trafford success.
