Romano’s most recent report to Chelsea regarding Enzo Fernandez is, “No issues on player,” with a meeting currently occurring.
On Twitter, Fabrizio Romano made the assertion that Chelsea and Benfica are currently in negotiations over the possible transfer of Enzo Fernandez this month.
Over the course of the weekend, the Blues revived their interest in the Argentina national team player in the hopes of capping off a fantastic month of January.
After a terrible start to the season, a midfielder believes that all that is needed to nearly finish the rebuilding that was required at Stamford Bridge. This player believes that all that is needed is a new manager.
The club will have been confident that reaching an agreement with Benfica would be difficult because of their refusal to negotiate with the Blues. This certainty is based on the fact that they refused to negotiate with the Blues.
Romano, however, has stated that a meeting is currently taking place because Chelsea has agreed to the fee that Benfica had requested, albeit on different terms. The reason for the meeting is that Chelsea has agreed to pay the fee.
He stated, “Meeting between Chelsea and Benfica for Enzo Fernández is currently taking place.” As we speak, discussions are taking place, and Chelsea will continue to press until the very end.
“Chelsea proposal: €120m in different instalments. There are no issues on the player side or in terms of personal relationships.”
This month, the pursuit of a midfielder by the Blues has been well-documented, and the club has also shown a strong interest in Moises Caicedo, who is currently playing for Brighton.
Even though these two players have very different strengths, they would both be terrific assets for a strong team if they were added to it.
Because of this, it is possible to understand why Arsenal appears to have surpassed Brighton in their desire to sign Caicedo, despite Brighton’s reluctance to part ways with the player.
The player is very enthusiastic about making the move to London, but it would appear that Chelsea’s enthusiasm has waned for the time being as they concentrate their efforts on signing Fernandez instead.
