Chelsea has taken a significant step toward finding Romelu Lukaku a new club. Following the conclusion of his season-long loan at Inter Milan, the 29-year-old forward was extensively linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge.

Lukaku, whose contract expires in 2026, appeared 25 times in Serie A for the Nerazzurri last season, scoring just 10 goals. The Belgium international suffered several injuries early in the season, but once he found his rhythm, he rapidly gained momentum.

Lukaku enjoyed a great run of form towards the close of the season, but he did not exactly shine against Manchester City in the Champions League final. Despite an unimpressive substitute appearance in Istanbul, the Belgian was soon linked with a permanent transfer to the Nerazzurri.

However, Inter is reportedly cash-strapped and the Belgian is eager to remain in Italy, leaving him with few alternatives – until now. The Telegraph reports that Juventus is interested in Lukaku as a possible replacement for Dusan Vlahovic.

The report indicates that additional discussions regarding the Belgian’s future are scheduled for later this week, and there is a consensus at Stamford Bridge that a resolution should be reached as quickly as possible. As for Vlahovic, he was once extensively linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium, but he rejected the club in favor of Gabriel Jesus, whom Arsenal subsequently signed.

According to Italian football agent Massimo Brambati, the Old Lady will examine offers for the 23-year-old forward before making a final decision regarding his future. Brambati stated in an interview with TMW Radio, “There are three squads present.

“I believe Juve will consider these offers carefully. Because they are Chelsea, Bayern Munich, and Atletico Madrid, they all have an impressive reputation.”I don’t know if there will be a capital gain [on Juventus’ initial £67million investment], but after a year and a half with Vlahovic, they’ve already amortized a year’s gross salary and a significant portion of the investment.”

Vlahovic, whose contract at the Allianz Stadium expires in 2026, scored ten goals in 27 Serie A appearances for Juventus last season. A couple of years ago, the Serbian international debuted in Turin as one of the most exciting young strikers in Europe.

However, he has had difficulty reaching the same heights at Juventus as he did at Fiorentina. Given Pochettino’s success with Harry Kane, Chelsea can be confident that he will assist Vlahovic in realizing his immense potential.
