Arsenal has been linked to a summer transfer for Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount, and the Gunners could land him.

This July, the Englishman will enter the last year of his contract at Stamford Bridge. As things stand, he is nowhere near reaching an extension agreement with Chelsea, which has made him a wanted man.

Arsenal, Liverpool, and Newcastle United have all been linked with a summer move for Mount, but it appears that the North London club will prevail.

Mason Mount is already contemplating a move to Arsenal.

This summer, Arsenal is anticipated to be in the market for two new midfielders.

Declan Rice is widely anticipated to be one of them, and the West Ham United hero would be a phenomenal addition to Mikel Arteta’s squad.

Even better would be if Arsenal signed Rice’s closest friend Mount as well. David Ornstein disclosed recently that Arsenal is one of the clubs interested in him, and The Telegraph reported last week that the Gunners are holding internal discussions regarding a possible acquisition.

Now that Paul Brown has spoken, the journalist claims that Mount is contemplating a move to Arsenal, who have already qualified for the Champions League next season.

He stated to GiveMeSport, “I’m fairly certain Mount is already contemplating a move to Arsenal.

“He is aware of the clubs that are interested in him, including Arsenal.” There are others who are further along in terms of negotiations and what has been presented. I believe Arsenal would be an additional appealing club for Mount.”

Granit Xhaka is one of Arsenal’s few options in the midfield, and a report last week claimed that the Gunners are prepared to listen to offers for him this summer.

If the Swiss international is sold, the Gunners will have even fewer midfield options for their return to the Champions League next season, which is not optimal.

It appears that Arsenal will make every effort to sign Rice this summer, and with Xhaka possibly leaving, Mount would be an exceptional addition.

He can score goals, generate opportunities, and play in a variety of positions. He is a ‘phenomenal’ player, and Arsenal should recruit him if they can.
