SUPER PREDICTION: Supercomputer says Premier League title race between Man City and Arsenal has one-sided advantage.
The present Premier League title duel between Arsenal and Manchester City has been predicted by a supercomputer for the first time.
The Gunners lead City by six points going into the last eight games of the season, but Pep Guardiola’s team has a game in hand.
Arsenal blew a 2-0 lead against Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday, allowing City to narrow the gap from eight to six points.
Mikel Arteta’s side must still travel to the Etihad Stadium later this month for what might be a title-deciding match.
The Gunners have already been defeated by the reigning champions twice this season, once in the FA Cup and once in the league.
However, their participation in cup tournaments near the end of the season may cause their form to deteriorate.
City has gained ground in the title race as a result of Arsenal’s rescheduled match against Chelsea.
Guardiola’s team will now face the Gunners in four of the last seven game weeks of the season, giving them the opportunity to pile pressure on the league leaders.
The Premier League table supercomputer at FiveThirtyEight has updated its forecast for how the title race will end, and it’s not good news for Arsenal fans.
The supercomputer predicted that City will win their fifth title in six years, finishing one point ahead of the north London club.

City are expected to finish with 88 points and a goal difference of +63, giving them a 60% chance of winning the title in their remaining nine games.
Despite being six points ahead, Arsenal has only a 40% chance of winning the title and is expected to finish with 87 points and a goal difference of +48.
Arsenal will overcome West Ham, Southampton, Chelsea, Brighton, Nottingham Forest, and Wolves, according to the supercomputer.
The Gunners, on the other hand, are expected to lose to City and then either draw or lose to Newcastle at St. James’ Park.
This emphasizes the critical games which Arteta must win if they are to win their first championship since 2004.
The supercomputer predicts that City will win all of their remaining Premier League games, so it might all come down to the match at the Etihad Stadium later this month.
