Erik ten Hag intends to discharge 13 Manchester United players this summer in order to assemble a competitive roster for the upcoming season.

The Red Devils are on track for a domestic double and a top-four finish in the Premier League following Ten Hag’s first season in command, which began a year ago.

United won the Carabao Cup earlier this season and are still in contention for the FA Cup.

THEY WILL FACE MANCHESTER CITY IN THE LAST MONTH OF THE SEASON.

Despite notable improvements from last season, ten Hag is aware that his team is still a long way off from challenging Arsenal and City for the Premier League title.

This season alone, they were humiliated by Manchester City and Liverpool, so ten Hag still needs to bolster the squad to compete in the league and Champions League, should they qualify.

The Mirror reports that players such as Harry Maguire, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Donny van de Beek, Brandon Williams, and Anthony Martial could depart Old Trafford this summer.

Under the new manager, United captain Maguire has fallen behind Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez in the pecking order and has appeared primarily on the substitute.

He has one year remaining on his contract, but the fact that regular left back Luke Shaw is playing center back ahead of England international Harry Maguire indicates that the Dutch coach does not value the Englishman.

Wan-Bissaka is also competing with Diogo Dalot for the right-back position, but his recent performances have impressed both the manager and the fans.

Also included is Anthony Elanga, who has not scored in 23 games this season. A year ago, the winger saw action under Ralf Rangnick, but ten Hag prefers Wout Weghorst and Antony to assist Marcus Rashford up front.
