The Arsenal midfielder ‘reveals’ his intention to join Bayer Leverkusen.
After being substituted out of Sunday’s game against Wolves, it looks that star player Granit Xhaka has almost certainly decided to leave Arsenal for another club during the summer. At the end of the 2022–2023 Premier League season, the season finale took place at the Emirates Stadium, where the Gunners defeated the Midlands club by a score of 5-0.

Xhaka was the star of the show, both on and off the field, as he scored two goals in the first 15 minutes to get the party started. These goals put Xhaka in the spotlight. Fans made sure their gratitude was heard by continuing to chant the midfielder’s name throughout the match, despite the speculation that surrounded the player’s future with the club that plays in north London.
“Well deserved. “He’s had an incredible season,” Mikel Arteta remarked of the 30-year-old player in the post-match press conference in reference to the environment for the player. “I believe it was about a year ago when I spoke to him and I told him, ‘there’s a question mark on you, you have to deliver more, you have to be better, and I’m going to challenge you to play here.'”
“He went back, and I believe he began his workout routine the following day. He returned for the preseason having lost four kilograms, in good shape, with this expression (he makes a face like this to show focus), and with a strong desire to perform. He has exceeded all expectations. He has been an essential contributor to the accomplishments of the team, and I couldn’t be happier that his efforts are being recognized by everyone.
Bayer Leverkusen is being heavily associated as his next destination, having previously hinted at his decision. The rumors surrounding his departure continue to intensify, and Bayer Leverkusen is being heavily linked as his next destination. On the other hand, it would appear that he has made it absolutely crystal plain that the next step will not be with Arsenal in any way, shape, or form.
