However, they are not the youngest players to score in the Italian League. There are younger players who have scored.

Richmond Boakye, who was 17 years and 65 days old at the time:
During the same season, he made his first appearance against Genoa. Because of that goal, he now holds the record for the second youngest player to score in the history of Serie A.
After beginning his career in Ghana, Richmond was successful enough to earn a transfer to Italy. When he was 17 years old, he made his first appearance in Genoa.
He came into the game from the substitutes’ bench and scored the goal that tied the score against AS Livorno almost immediately after entering.
