“THE WORST”: Arsenal told Emile Smith Rowe and Leandro Trossard that they wanted to drop the 24-year-old.
According to Gabby Agbonlahor, Emile Smith Rowe and Leandro Trossard will urge Mikel Arteta to remove Kai Havertz from Arsenal’s starting lineup.
Following his transfer to Arsenal from Chelsea, the 24-year-old has endured a difficult time because he has received a great deal of vitriolic abuse from those who have told him he is not good enough.
This includes the former Aston Villa striker Agbonlahor, who predicted Kai Havertz’s failure this season.
As he told Arsenalbrief.com (24/08/23 at 9:30 a.m.), he also believes that Leandro Trossard and Emile Smith Rowe will be begging Mikel Arteta to remove the versatile player so they can start.
Havertz has started all three of Arsenal’s games since his transfer in the summer, including as the number nine in the Community Shield victory over Manchester City.

However, Agbonlahor does not believe Havertz will prove to be a triumph by the end of the 2023/24 season.
“The worst (signing), where to begin,” Agbonlahor said. “The reason I am going to select this athlete is because he had a poor season last year.
“Havertz, for £65 million, I desire a dominant performer. I desire a player who appears likely to produce goals. When I watched him last season, he impeded others. He makes it physically more difficult for his teammates to find space. He lacks speed, is not a prolific finisher, and is not particularly adept at gaining possession of the ball and pivoting.
“If I’m Smith Rowe or one of the other Arsneal players like Trossard, I’m telling Gaffa, ‘I know you paid £65 million, but you have to give me a chance now.'”
Therefore, I believe Havertz will be one of the season’s busts.
Arteta must be entrusted
During his tenure at the Emirates, the Arsenal manager has made a number of bold decisions, including releasing Mesut Ozil and signing Aaron Ramsdale following consecutive relegations.
These decisions, along with many others, including the capture of Ben White and the dismissal of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, were questioned at the time.
However, after the dust has subsided, he has been proven correct, and it is likely that the same will occur again.
