Manchester United has signed Altay Bayindir, and Fenerbahce has been cautioned that they may regret selling him.

With the expiration of David De Gea’s contract, United made a significant goalkeeper transition this summer.

Andre Onana arrived from Inter Milan, reuniting him with his former Ajax manager Erik ten Hag.

United was subsequently compelled to acquire a new goalkeeper before the deadline due to the wisdom of this transfer.

Dean Henderson secured a permanent transfer to Crystal Palace, and United moved to replace him with Altay Bayindir…

Fenerbahce may’regret’ the sale of Altay Bayindir.

Bayindir enters as United’s backup goalkeeper behind Onana, but he has aspirations of becoming the team’s starter.

He is 25 years old and has made nearly 150 appearances for Fenerbahce, which is a strong age and experience combination.

Bayindir, a 6ft 6in tall goalkeeper, hopes to impress Ten Hag and will be in contention to replace Onana during the January Africa Cup of Nations.

Mustafa Kaplan, the technical director of Giresunspor, is familiar with Bayindir, having previously worked with Ankaragucu.

Kaplan has told Hurriyet that he has been’very pleased’ with Bayindir’s development since he excelled for a major club such as Fenerbahce.

Kaplan adds that he believes Fenerbahce will now regret selling Bayindir, despite supporters’ sometimes mixed opinions of him, as he believes the goalkeeper deserved the transfer and will perform well for United when given the opportunity.

“He went to Fenerbahce and played in front of 50 thousand people,” said Kaplan. “He joined a large group and donned the captain’s insignia for Fenerbahce.

It also made us very joyful. There were occasional grudges among Fenerbahce followers at the time. Always, I instructed Altay to close his hearing and mind his own business.

“When we spoke with Altay, he was sought in Spain and the Netherlands as well. Now he has joined a large community such as Manchester United. So, Altay acted appropriately. In the future, Fenerbahce may regret selling Altay.

It was very advantageous for Altay, but a problematic circumstance for Fenerbahce. According to me, Altay obtained the position he merited. I believe he will achieve success there as well. When he receives the uniform, he will serve Manchester United and our country’s football well,’ he added.

Bayindir could participate during the international hiatus

The first international break of the new season has already occurred, so United players are currently jetting around the globe.

Bayindir is one of the individuals that Turkey has summoned up.

Bayindir has been selected alongside Mert Gunok and Ugurcan Cakir, two goalkeepers with more international caps than Bayindir.

Turkey will face Armenia and Japan in the coming days, with Bayindir aiming to add to his five international appearances after completing his transfer to Manchester United.
