Thomas Partey is ruled out ‘for a while’ for Arsenal’s match against Manchester United due to injury.

Thomas Partey has suffered an injury and will not be able to play for Arsenal in their upcoming Premier League match against Manchester United.

The decision to start the midfielder at right back in all three of the Gunners’ Premier League games so far has come as a surprise to many, as Gabriel Magalhaes has been left on the bench for all of them. The Gunners have gotten off to an unbeaten start to the season.

However, according to the Ghanian FA, Partey will be sidelined for “a while,” thus Mikel Arteta will have some flexibility to play around with his defensive formation.

The following was stated in a statement: “Arsenal ace Thomas Partey is not included in the squad due to injury.”According to his club, the player suffered an injury during training, and it’s possible that he’ll have to miss some time due to it. However, the medical staff for the Black Stars is keeping an eye on the matter.

It is possible that Arteta may turn to Gabriel for Sunday’s match against United. If he does so, Gabriel will likely start at center back with William Saliba, just as he did for the majority of the previous season, while Ben White will move to right back.

Takehiro Tomiyasu came on as a substitute for Tom Partey in the second half of Arsenal’s match against Fulham, and he represents another alternative for Mikel Arteta.
