Todd Boehly disregards Cesc Fabregas’s guidance as Mauricio Pochettino vended major Chelsea setback.
According to Cesc Fabregas‘ hypothesis, Mauricio Pochettino’s chances of winning the Premier League with Chelsea next season have taken a major hit. Recently, the former Tottenham manager has been extensively linked to the vacant head coach position at Stamford Bridge, and it now appears that he will be hired.
According to thesoccerstand the Blues have agreed to appoint Pochettino the club’s new manager. Frank Lampard will be replaced by Mauricio Pochettino at the conclusion of the season, following weeks of positive discussions.
According to reports, the 51-year-old has not yet signed a contract but is expected to do so shortly. Pochettino will have a complete preseason to acclimate and begin planning for the upcoming season, but his arrival may be too late.
Antonio Conte was appointed manager of Chelsea in April 2016, and prior to his official arrival, he held one-on-one meetings with the players to discuss his plans for the upcoming season. Fabregas divulged on Sky Sports earlier this month how the Italian’s early appointment inspired Chelsea to win the Premier League.
With less than two weeks remaining in the month of May, Fabregas has implied that Boehly is behind schedule. The former Arsenal and Chelsea midfielder stated, “Let’s not forget that six years ago we had a terrible season with Chelsea; if I recall correctly, we finished 10th.”Jose Mourinho departed, [Guus] Hiddink arrived, and he began to field younger players – [Ruben] Loftus-Cheek, [Andreas] Christiansen, and Tammy Abraham – in order to give them experience for the following season.
“I recall that in April they hired [Antonio] Conte, who came to the training ground, spoke to us individually, and plotted what he wanted to do with us to begin anew. The following year, we won the Premier League. Against [Pep] Guardiola, [Jurgen] Klopp, and at Manchester United, Mourinho. It is not inconceivable.
“I know you’re going to say there are a number of new players and it’s difficult, but this happened six years ago and I was there – I experienced it. It is possible if you bring in a person with experience, character, and the ability to bring everyone together, as well as someone who articulates his intentions clearly and works diligently to bring everyone on board.
