Tottenham striker’s true value disclosed as spurs future remains undecided
Harry Kane typically demonstrates his value on the field, but he also has much to show for his efforts off the field.
The Tottenham striker has a personal fortune of £50 million, according to the 2023 Sunday Times Rich List, which is published this weekend and lists him as one of Britain’s 35 richest individuals under the age of 35.
This is an increase of £8 million from the previous year, with his previous listing in 2021 indicating he was worth approximately £33 million, demonstrating he is as thrifty with his money as he is with his shots on goal.
The 29-year-old has scored 29 goals in 47 appearances across all competitions for Spurs this season.
He also surpassed Jimmy Greaves to become the club’s all-time leading goalscorer when he scored the game-winning goal in February’s home victory over Manchester City and recorded his 200th Premier League goal in the same match.
The England star moved past Wayne Rooney and into second place on the Premier League’s all-time goalscoring list when he scored the game’s only goal against Crystal Palace, bringing his total to 209 goals.
However, he still has a ways to go to reach Alan Shearer, who leads the list with 260 goals.
All of this is particularly impressive in light of the ongoing turmoil at the club, with manager Antonio Conte having been fired after his angry tirade against his players following the 3-3 draw with Southampton, and Fabio Paratici having resigned as managing director of football.
However, Kane’s future at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium remains uncertain as he approaches the final year of his contract at the end of the season.
Manchester United is one club that could make a play for him this summer, having been linked to a move to Manchester City two years ago.
Even though Spurs cannot qualify for the Champions League next season, they still have a chance to qualify for the Europa League or Europa Conference League in 2023/24.

On May 28, Spurs will travel to Elland Road to face relegation-threatened Leeds United after hosting Brentford on the final Saturday of the regular season.
