Both William Saliba and Oleksandr Zinchenko will be sidelined for the remainder of the season owing to injuries sustained by each player.

According to a report from The Athletic, despite the impact, neither of the Gunners defenders require surgery in order to recover from their injuries.

Because of an ailment with his lower back, Saliba has been sidelined for the last two months, and Mikel Arteta’s team has struggled defensively in his absence during that time.

Rob Holding had taken the place of the French international in the starting lineup of the north Londoners, but after allowing 13 goals in six matches, the club decided to replace him with Jakub Kiwior, who had signed in January. Jakub Kiwior started both of the club’s most recent Premier League matches.

In those two games, a win at home against Chelsea by a score of 3-1 and a win on the road against Newcastle United by a score of 2-0, Kiwior has played exceptionally well.

Meanwhile, full-back Zinchenko had to leave Sunday afternoon’s match against the Magpies because of a calf injury and couldn’t continue playing.

Kieran Tierney is likely going to fill in at left back for the former Manchester City star for Arsenal’s final three games of the season, which are against Brighton, Nottingham Forest, and Wolves.

These games are Arsenal’s only remaining opportunities to earn points this season.

Since Zinchenko moved over from City in the summer of 2017, Tierney has had a difficult time earning playing time with the first team.

The Scottish international has not been successful when used in Arteta’s preferred inverted role.

He is more suited to being used as a more conventional byline-style fullback.

Since then, he has been connected with a transfer away from the Emirates Stadium, and it has been reported that both Newcastle and Aston Villa are keeping an eye on his status ahead of the summer transfer window.
