‘WE ARE LUCKY TO HAVE HIM’: MARTIN ODEGAARD SPEAKS ON ARSENAL 24-YEAR-OLD STAR

Martin Odegaard has praised Eddie Nketiah following Arsenal’s 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Monday night.

The Arsenal captain scored the game’s lone penalty kick goal before Mikel Arteta’s side were reduced to ten men shortly after the hour mark due to Takehiro Tomiyasu’s second yellow card, but they prevailed.

Martin Odegaard made sure to give Eddie Nketiah his flowers after the game, telling Premier League Productions (21/08/23 at 10:25 p.m.) that he was “brilliant again” and that “we are lucky to have him”

Nketiah could have opened the scoring in the first half when his shot grazed the post after a beautiful deflection off England international Marc Guehi’s shoulder.

With Gabriel Jesus out due to injury, the spotlight is once again on Nketiah, and if he doesn’t capitalize on these opportunities, he can’t excuse a lack of regular playing time during the first few weeks of the season.

Odegaard was nevertheless effusive in his praise for the 24-year-old despite his failure to strike against Palace.
Again, brilliant, said Odegaard. “His contribution is evident in each and every game he plays. We are fortunate to have him, as he provides us with so much.

“Again, congratulations to him and the entire team for digging deep, fighting hard, and securing three points.”
Nketiah has begun the season strongly…

Fans have harshly criticized the 24-year-old, with some even questioning his ability to lead the Gunners’ attack.

While many will evaluate him solely on the basis of his goals, what he does outside the penalty area must also be commended because he does cause pandemonium.

Nketiah’s link-up play and ability to create space for his teammates are underrated; all that’s needed now is a consistent goal scoring streak to place the icing on the cake.
