West Ham makes frustrations transparent in Arsenal’s target as Arteta and Edu set a new deadline
West Ham is growing increasingly impatient with the sluggish progress of Declan Rice’s sale to Arsenal.
Mikel Arteta’s squad eventually reached an agreement with the Hammers over the £105 million transfer fee eight days ago. Rice was the Gunners’ top summer transfer target.
Since then, Arsenal has been finalizing the necessary documentation for the relocation.
Rice has purportedly already agreed to personal terms with the Gunners, but there are few indications that the final checks are nearing completion. The England international is presently training away from West Ham, but he is still a member of the club.

The frustrations stem from the fact that Rice’s contract with the Emirates Stadium has not yet been ratified. West Ham is awaiting the contracts that are currently being drafted by Arsenal’s attorneys.
West Ham believes that Rice has already passed his medical with Arsenal, despite the fact that he is still on vacation in Portugal. The deal will surpass Arsenal’s current transfer record, with an initial payment of £100 million + £5 million in add-ons.
The Arsenal squad is presently training in Germany as Arteta prepares his troops for the upcoming season. On Sunday, they will depart for a preseason tour of the United States.
And it is stated that they are ‘hopeful’ of completing Rice’s lengthy relocation in time for him to board the aircraft. Arsenal has resisted City’s efforts to acquire him for months, despite the latter’s interest.
