There are few positives to be drawn from Chelsea’s season. Even though a degree of transition was anticipated, finishing 12th in the Premier League was not anticipated, nor was having four distinct figures in charge of matches throughout the season.

The veteran Brazilian could also display a burst of speed, though whether his comrades believed such actions were worthwhile in light of Silva’s steely stare afterward is another matter.
The free transfer would appear indignant whenever he was compelled to perform such dramatics.
Silva was an easy candidate in many respects. Despite his age, he only played fewer minutes than Kai Havertz and Kepa Arrizabalaga.
Kepa Arrizabalaga is another nominee in the competition and a likely deserving recipient of any honor for most improvement.
Enzo Fernandez, another South American who forced his way into the discussion, is a class act but perhaps had too much on his plate to carry his colleagues in the second half of the season.
Despite the fact that the season has concluded, there is a possibility that another player deserves the award. A athlete just 20 years younger than Silva.
I can already hear the objections. The complaints, “He has not played enough,” are inevitable. However, Lewis Hall may be the season’s greatest bright spot for Chelsea.
The star of the development squad has been unfazed at every turn, has taken on set piece responsibilities, and gets on with his work while his teammates have not always attained the same level of performance. He has confronted the very best the Premier League has to offer and has only been among Chelsea’s weaker players against Liverpool.
Hall was denied permission by Chelsea to join England’s under-20 World Cup squad. The youngster has likely been the Blues’ finest player in their final few games of the season, proving the wisdom of that decision. The only things missing are a goal for himself and someone to complete his impressive deliveries.

With Ben Chilwell, Marc Cucurella, and Ian Maatsen’s return from loan, Hall has pushed himself into consideration for Chelsea’s first team next season. His impact may not have been as long-lasting as Silva’s, but he has brought pleasure to a dismal season.
