Through the transfer window, FC Barcelona has strengthened their roster in preparation for the upcoming season. In addition to these acquisitions, however, the return of Barcelona loanees is expected to infuse the team with renewed vigor.

Collado, Lenglet, and Nico Gonzalez are among the players due to be released by Barcelona, but not all loanees who return to the club are considered expendable. The coaching staff has fond memories of Ez Abde following his fruitful tenure at Osasuna.

According to SPORT, Xavi believes that Barcelona would be better off if Abde remained with the team for the upcoming season rather than being transferred on the transfer market.

Although the coach is aware that the Moroccan is one of the players for whom Barcelona has received offers and that his sale may be necessary for “Fair Play” reasons, he has already expressed his desire to retain Abde to the club’s management.

His determination is a result of Abde’s electrifying play style and distinct profile within the team. Barcelona lacks direct dribblers like Ousmane Dembele, and the 21-year-old winger is certain to add a new dimension to the left flank.

The speedster has the attributes to break down opponents and create openings in the final third when facing low-blocking defenses. On the left wing, the Catalans currently have players like Fati and Ferran, who interpret space well but are incapable of routinely taking on opponents.

As such, Abde’s distinct playing style would cover a void in the team. Given that Barcelona failed in their pursuit of Carrasco, Moroccan is regarded as a viable alternative.

Abde will have the chance to increase his prospects of continuing with the team in the preseason matches played in the United States, but Barcelona is aware of the significant interest in him following his outstanding tenure with Osasuna. Barcelona’s finances may force them to plan for his departure in the future, but Xavi seems determined to remain with the club.
