Mohamed Salah will be absent from another match due to injury, as Liverpool aims for his comeback next week.

They have their sights set on a Europa League fixture in Prague before facing Manchester City in a pivotal Premier League match. Salah sustained a hamstring injury while representing Egypt at the Africa Cup of Nations in January. Since then, he has only completed one full half of play, during a 4-1 victory against Brentford on Feb. 21.

Although Liverpool has not disclosed the exact nature of Salah’s current injury, he has been ruled out of the team’s upcoming Premier League encounter against Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

Manager Jurgen Klopp stated on Friday that Mo Salah is nearing a return, although he won’t be playing tomorrow. Klopp anticipates Salah could make an appearance next week but emphasized that he’s still on the path to full recovery.

Forward Darwin Nunez and midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai are anticipated to make their return against Forest after being sidelined due to injuries.

Currently, Liverpool holds a one-point lead over defending champion City, while third-place Arsenal trails by two points.

Klopp’s squad is scheduled to compete against Sparta Prague in the initial leg of the Europa League round of 16 the following Thursday, followed by hosting City three days later.
