Kylian Mbappe’s message to Chelsea newboy after his first training session
According to Metro, Kylian Mbappe is excited to see former PSG teammate Christopher Nkunku play for Chelsea, as he commented under Nkunku’s Instagram post.
Nkunku was recruited by Chelsea in November of last year, but his acquisition was not made official until earlier this month. Due to an injury, the 25-year-old was unable to participate in the 2022 World Cup, but he returned before the end of the Bundesliga season and tied for the scoring lead.
As a consequence, Nkunku won the Bundesliga Golden Boot by scoring 16 goals in 24 matches, but he must now adapt to an entirely new league. It remains to be seen where Mauricio Pochettino will deploy the versatile Frenchman in his lineup.
As he did during the majority of his time in Leipzig, he can also play as a second striker.
However, his France companion and PSG forward Mbappe believes he will flourish under Mauricio Pochettino in the Premier League when the season begins.
The former RB Leipzig player’s Instagram post was commented on by Mbappé, who wrote “going to get my popcorn” with a popcorn emoji. It suggests that the France national team commander will closely monitor Nkunku’s time in SW6.
Chelsea will travel to the United States for their preseason tour and will presumably be ready for their August 13 opener against Liverpool. This could be the first opportunity for supporters to see the former RB Leipzig player in action for us.
The squad is excited to see Nkunku in a Chelsea uniform when the new season begins, as he has been a fantastic addition. Now that he has established himself in the Bundesliga, he must do the same in the Premier League. It is understandable that he will require some time to adjust, but once he does, he could be the solution we have been urgently seeking since the departures of Didier Drogba and, to a lesser extent, Diego Costa.
We no longer need to emphasize Mbappe’s aptitude; he was previously linked with a move to Chelsea, but those rumors have since died down. We hope to see the two French forwards teaming up for Chelsea in the future, but acquiring a player like Mbappe has reportedly become a financial nightmare for even the finest clubs.
