Manchester United may need to allocate a minimum of £30 million to secure the signing of a center-back target during the upcoming summer transfer window.

The center-back position has emerged as a top priority for Manchester United this summer due to injuries, posing a challenge for Erik ten Hag.

Despite having a seemingly strong center-back lineup on paper, frequent injuries have disrupted the team’s defensive stability throughout the season.

As the contracts of Raphael Varane and Jonny Evans are set to expire this summer, and with Victor Lindelof potentially being put up for sale, reinforcements are essential. A rejuvenation of the position is anticipated, with younger players being sought who align with Ten Hag’s requirements.

Numerous names have been floated as potential targets, with speculation now swirling regarding the potential asking price for one of them.

Manchester United would be required to pay £26 million to secure the signing of an 18-year-old player. This summer, as they aim to bolster their defense, the club is clearly interested in acquiring a young talent. Names such as Leny Yoro, Aaron Anselmino, and now Dean Huijsen have all been associated with United, with Huijsen’s price tag recently disclosed.

Although currently on loan, the Spanish center-back will return to Juventus in June. United may consider making a move for him, but according to reports from Gazzetta Dello Sport, the price would be at least €30 million (£26 million), along with additional bonuses.

Despite the seeming high cost, Huijsen is viewed as a promising prospect, with the potential for his value to double within a year, as suggested by his Roma coach Daniele de Rossi, who believes he could become “one of the world’s best.” Huijsen is not the only Juventus defender linked with United, as Brazilian Bremer has also been mentioned as a potential option for this summer.
